My new band, David Carr's Fabulous Contraption, have our first gig on the 16th of October at the Mars Hill Cafe in Parramatta. It's a pretty exciting opportunity for me to perform some of my own folk/world/jazz/bluegrass tunes, plus a couple of interesting covers thrown in for good measure. The band will feature Jess Randall on violin, Rodrigo Salgado on bass and Lachlan Carr on drums. I know, it's half of Lolo Lovina, but it'll be pretty different.
Tapestries of Sound have finished recording our debut album (finally), tentatively titled 'Unsung Yarns'. It should be available early next year.
Lolo Lovina are still touring here and there around the East Coast of Australia and should be heading to Tasmania early next year also.
Wills and Ways are preparing to record our first album together also.
That should keep me busy for a while...
Thanks for checking out the website.
